Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Doxlore. By creating an account or posting, you accept them.
Last updated 16 August 2026
1. Eligibility and your authority to agree
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Doxlore account. By registering you confirm that you meet that age requirement, that you have the legal capacity and authority to enter into this agreement, and that nothing in the law that applies to you prevents you from doing so.
If you are agreeing on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it, and “you” means that organisation.
Reading Doxlore requires no account. These terms still govern your use of the site either way, but the obligations around posting only apply once you register.
2. Your account
You choose a username when you register, or we generate one for you. It is shown publicly next to everything you post, and, like the rest of your account, may not be used to impersonate another person or organisation.
Keep your credentials to yourself. You are responsible for everything done through your account, whether or not you did it, unless and until you tell us it has been compromised.
Logging out, resetting your password, or being suspended invalidates every active session on your account immediately.
3. What you may not post
Do not post anything that:
- is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or threatening
- infringes anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights
- impersonates another person or organisation, or misrepresents your association with one
- contains malware, spam, or automated bulk submissions
- discloses someone else’s private information without their consent
Comments are passed through an automated profanity filter before being stored. That filter is a convenience, not an endorsement: content that clears it is still your responsibility.
4. Your content, and the rights you give us
You keep ownership of what you post. You grant Doxlore a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except for copies already held in backups or caches until those expire.
You confirm that you own or otherwise have the rights to everything you post, including any images you upload, and that our use of it under this licence will not infringe anyone’s rights.
Comments may be summarised by an automated system into short overviews of the positions people are taking on a topic. Those summaries are generated from published comments and are shown alongside the discussion.
Comment text, and any image you attach, may also be screened by an automated system to detect spam and inappropriate content before or after publication.
5. Your responsibility for harm
You are solely responsible for what you post and for any harm it causes. That includes harm to other users, to third parties, and to the subjects of any discussion.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Doxlore, its operators, and its contributors against any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of content you submitted, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
6. Brands, products, and franchises
Doxlore hosts independent discussion. Brand, product, and franchise names, along with any logos, are used for identification only. Doxlore is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the entities discussed on the site, and no such relationship should be inferred from their presence here.
Rights holders who believe material should be removed can submit a takedown request. No account is needed, and every request is reviewed.
7. Moderation and termination
We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or delete an account at any time, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken, or to protect users, third parties, or the service itself.
Suspension invalidates every active session on the account immediately. You can stop using Doxlore at any time.
8. The service is provided as is
Doxlore is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, nor that any content on it, including automatically generated summaries, is accurate, complete, or reliable.
Opinions posted by users are theirs alone. Automated summaries describe what commenters said, not what is true.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Doxlore and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or reputation, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Where a change is material we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use Doxlore after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
